Reptiles & Amphibians

We might forget that turtles, frogs and other reptiles & amphibians can also need rescue. Not only are animals like birds and mammals in needed to be rescued but we find many reptiles and amphibians can be in trouble and need help.

Many of these types of animals are kept in captivity and are released after they are no longer wanted, or have become too large. Rehabilitation for unwanted, injured, abused or neglected reptiles and amphibians is often needed and can mean seeking appropriate veterinary care, medicine and help bringing the animal back to good condition.

If you have found an animal that needs rescued or is no longer wanted, then contact our hotline at 508-375-3700 and they will be able to guide you rather than have you release a pet into the wild where it may not survive.
